The find feature will locate and select (highlight) the next occurrence of specified text in your song database.
Instructions
| 1. | Click the Find or Find Next button in the Editing group on the main Ribbon. |
| 1.1. | Find Next differs from Find in that Find Next will immediately begin a search for the last text you searched for (essentially performing steps 3 and 4 for you). |
| 2. | You will see a window similar to the following: |
| 3. | Enter the text you wish to search for in the Find what box if it is not there already. |
| 5. | The search will begin will the options you selected (or the default options if you didn't specify any). If the Find what text is found, it will be highlighted for you. |
| • | The date fields and Genre fields will be ignored in the search as they are not stored as text in the song database. |
| • | Perform the Find from the Disc View if you want the disc fields (Disc Number, Album, etc) to be included in the search. |
| • | When in Song View, the search can only function if if you are not currently grouping any of the columns. |
