You can drag songs from the Disc View or Songs View of Pilot Song Book Creator to any program that allows for file drops, such as Power CD+G Burner, Siglos Karaoke Player/Recorder, Siglos Karaoke Professional, Windows Explorer, etc.  The following example will demonstrate the drag and drop feature using Power CD+G Burner but the process is similar with any program.

Prerequisites
In order for drag and drop to work you must have imported the songs in your song book from song files and folders OR from a Siglos Karaoke Professional database.  These import processes effectively link the songs in your song book to the files on your hard drive.
After you perform this import, you must not change the names of your song files or folder from outside of this software.  Doing so will permanently "break" the link from the song to the song file.  It may be possible to re-establish this link by re-importing the song file using the Merge option, however.

Drag and drop

1.Select either Disc View or Songs View and locate the song(s) you would like to drag.  (For this example, we will select and drag all the songs shown below.)
2.Select the song(s) you would like to drag using the row selector buttons to the left of each row.  You can select multiple rows by clicking and holding the left mouse button on the row selector of the first row you wish to select and then dragging your mouse up or down until all the rows you with to select are highlighted.  See screen shot below.
3.Once you have selected the song(s) you wish to drag, release the left mouse button (if you still have it depressed from selecting multiple songs).
4.You can now initiate the drag by left mouse clicking any one of the row selectors of one of the selected songs and, while the left mouse button is depressed, move the mouse over the area where you wish to drop the song files.  You will know you are dragging the files when the mouse cursor changes (initially to ).  (In this example, we will drop the files on the burn window of Power CD+G Burner, see below)
5.Once the mouse cursor is located over the area you wish to drop to, simply release the mouse button.  (In this example, you would see the following.)

Notes

Due to the fact that some karaoke songs actually have two or more files associated with them, the drag and drop feature can be configured to drag the primary file associated with the song, or ALL files associated with the song.  If you are dragging files to karaoke software, you will want to drag only the primary file (the CDG file).  If you are dragging to music players or other non-karaoke songs, you will want to drag all files associated with the song.  See the drag and drop behavior options help topic for information on how to change this.
If the songs you are attempting to drag are not linked to a valid file on your hard drive, the drag operation will simply not take place, and the mouse cursor will not change.
