Version 3.1 represents another significant improvement in the evolution of this powerful software.  See below for a brief (non-inclusive) summary of the changes made.

Feature Updates

1.Ability to Hide Individual Songs!
1.1.You can now hide songs from the song book output by simply clicking a check box in the “hide” column for the song.
1.2.You can also automatically hide duplicate songs and hide all songs by an artist, in a genre, or on a disc.
2.Added context sensitive (right-click) menus!
2.1.Many program features are now just a right-click away!  This feature will significantly increase productivity in this software!
3.Added context sensitive status bar text and tool tips for key features.
3.1.When you mouse over the “delete song” button on the ribbon (for example) the status bar and the tool tip will change indicating the name of the song this action will delete.
3.2.This feature was added for most buttons or drop down lists on the ribbon that deals with song records.
4.Added ability to change the genre for all songs by an artist in addition to all songs on a disc.
5.Added ability to generate song books in all uppercase or all lowercase.
6.Added a song book layout that can print “jewel case” inserts for each disc in your collection.  This feature makes it simple to produce consistent and professional Jewel Case inserts for any or every disc in your collection!
7.Import process improvements:
7.1.Improved the import file name template edit process adding two much simpler methods to determine how song files are named.  This will result in much easier file name imports for most users.
7.2.Added a Basic mode which simply tries several common file name templates with a song file of your choice.  If your song files are named with one of these common naming conventions (most will be) then it will only take a few seconds to determine the exact file name template to use.
7.3.Added an Intermediate mode which will generate virtually any file name template from your input.  You simply select a file, and enter the artist, title, etc in that file and the software will do the rest.
7.4.The original method for editing the file name template is now called “Advanced mode”.  In this method, you specify the template manually.
8.Re-worked the file name synchronization feature:
8.1.A status will now be returned for each file which significantly improves the use of this feature in practice.
8.2.The zip conversion functionality was changed to be much more intuitive.  The user now has the option of no conversion, convert from MP3+G to ZIP, or convert from ZIP to MP3+G.   (This was effectively similar in the previous version, but not as intuitive).
8.3.If the software is not converting between ZIP and MP3+G and in the synchronization process, the process will now run significantly faster.  This is due to an improvement in the ZIP functionality that allows for renaming the files within the ZIP file without first extracting the file.

Changes

1.Changed the icon for “View Song Book” and “Customize Fonts”.
2.Moved the Change Genre for Disc feature to the ribbon (where the new Change genre for Artist feature is located)  (Both were also added to the appropriate right-click menu’s)

Bug Fixes

1.Fixed a bug with the auto save feature that caused an error message to display for Windows Vista users if the auto save timer had expired and the song file had not yet been saved.
2.Fixed a bug during the Import from Individual Song File Names process that caused a error message to display when the clicking “Change” button next to the file name template without before adding any songs to the import list.
3.Changed the type of error message that is produced during the Import from CD feature if the online server is unavailable.
4.Fixed a bug that would cause the synchronization process to fail if it encountered a zip file that could not be opened.  Now this fact will simply show in the results report rather than halting the entire process.
5.Fixed a bug with the folder synchronization process that was adding folders to the “folder to rename” list that should not have been which introduced a number of other problems.  (This was a very rare problem that most users would not have encountered).
