You can import data from another Pilot Song Book Creator song book data file. This is useful if you need to combine multiple song books into one.
Import Instructions
| 1. | Of all the song books you wish to combine, open the one that contains the majority of the data that will be in the finished song book. (This will save time). |
| 2. | On the Import tab (on the ribbon), click the From Another Song Book button. |

| 3. | You will see the following dialog: |

| 4. | Click Browse and locate the song book data file (*.psb file) you wish to import into this one. |
| 6. | Select Import or Merge. |
| 6.1. | Import - All songs and discs imported will be treated as if they are new and do not already exist in the database (even if they do). This option is fine if you are importing into a new song book, or you are importing songs that you know are not already in the database. |
| 6.2. | Merge - During the import, an attempt will be made to combine the new data with the existing data in the song book. Disc records will be matched by the Disc Number and song records will be matched by Disc Number and Track Number. When a match is detected, the new data will be merged with the existing data based on the selected Merge Options: |
| 6.2.1. | Ignore NEW Discs and Songs? - When checked, new data that does not match existing data in the song book will be ignored. |
| 6.2.2. | Prefer NEW x over current x? - When checked, if both the new data and the existing data have valid data, the new data for this particular field will be preferred and the existing data will be discarded. |
| 7. | Click Import (or Merge). |
| 8. | The import process will begin. |
| • | This feature can ONLY import another song book that was also created with this software. You cannot use this feature to import a song book created in another song book program. |
| • | Song book settings (such as the song book title and sub title) that are stored in the song book you are importing will not be imported. For this reason, it is recommended you start with the song book that has the desired song book settings. |
| • | If both the currently opened song book and the song book you're importing have substantially difference genre data, be sure to check the genres of all the songs after the import to ensure they are still valid. Most times this will not be an issue. |
