You are presented with the screen below when you start the application.  On this screen you will specify the folder on your hard drive to start the search for song files, the file types for which to search, and specify the file zipping or unzipping options.

Brief explanation of this window

Tabs - These tabs enable you to switch between Step 1 and 2.
Specify the Root Directory to Search
oEnter the root folder (directory) for which to start the search for song files, or browse to the folder with the Browse button.)
oCheck the box to Search root folder and ALL subfolders if you would like the software to include all folders below the root in the search.  (This will usually be the case, unless you are only processing one folder at a time).
Select the File Types to Include in the Search - Simply check the box next to the file types you wish to include in the search.
oKaraoke - Check to process file types associated with karaoke (zip, cdg, bin, mcg, etc)
oMusic - Check to process file types associated with music (mp3, wav, etc)
oVideo - Check to process file types associated with video (mpeg, avi, etc)
oOther - Check to process other file types as configured with the Configure button.
oConfigure button - When clicked, shows a dialog where you can customize what file extensions are associated with the above four categories.  You can also add or delete file types from the list.  Using this feature, you can process literally any type of file with this software though it is primarily intended for karaoke, music, or video files.
Zip File Options
oNo Conversion - Zip files will stay zip files and mp3+g files will stay mp3+g files.  No conversion between formats will take place.
oConvert MP3+G to ZIP - Converts all karaoke songs in the mp3+g format found in the search to the zip format.  Zip files found in the search will remain zip files.
oConvert ZIP to MP3+G - Converts all zip files found in the search to the mp3+g format (essentially extracting the files from the zip and then deleting the zip file).
Next and Back buttons - Alternative method to navigate between step 1 and step 2.
Close button - Used to close the application.  All selections will be saved.
